Abstract
This lesson will introduce students to the Renaissance and the various topics that will be covered in the unit. Through video media, students will begin to explore the significance of the Renaissance as a golden age of: discovery and scientific innovation; art and architecture; intellect and philosophic thought; exploration, colonization and trade; and social and political reconstruction.
