Crucifix

Abstract

This life-size sculpture of the Crucifixion was stored in the conference room of the Teggiano seminary until its discovery in 2013. The crucifix looks as if it has been repainted to resemble bronze, but someone could have stripped it from its original paint. Oral sources have suggested that the sculpture was originally from the city of Castelcivita in Campania. It is now located in the Diocesan Museum of Teggiano.
