A Free-Agent of Embodied Subject

Abstract

This research is an exploration of physically-devised performance processes. The paper is in dialogue with a major performance (Loss2Lust), which has been recorded on DVD, and will remain stored at Queen’s University in the Department of Cultural Studies (it has also been submitted to Qspace). The performance of Loss2Lust reflects a process that is ongoing and self-reflexive, and as such this paper is also a process of ongoing self-reflection about performance within academic contexts.
