Abstract

The purpose of this report is to define Bishop’s University’s heritage significance by identifying its cultural heritage resources that are significant and should be protected in the upcoming campus master plan. Founded in 1843 in the heart of Quebec’s Eastern Townships, Bishop’s built form and student life are highly influenced by both internal and external factors, especially through social and political events. The findings have demonstrated that there is a considerable amount of heritage resources on campus which should be protected so that members of the Bishop’s community can appreciate them for the years to come.
