Abstract
The poster outlines the cyber threats identified within scholarly literature: notably cyber tampering, cyber influencing operations, information operations, and finally international implications. The second part identifies possible solutions within scholarly literature during the pre-election, election day, and post-electoral cycles using the threats identified previously. The third part of the poster then examines how the Five Eyes countries (The United States, The United Kingdom, Canada, Australia and New Zealand) identify the threats within grey literature (government statements, cyber security reports, and national cybersecurity plans). Finally, the documents are briefly discussed in summary and policy recommendations and conclusions from the research are drawn. The goal of this research project is to obtain a strong background in Canadian responses to cybersecurity threats, and to analyze posture of other Five Eyes countries’ responses in comparison to those of Canada.
